Based on the purpose, a procedural text may explain how things work or how to operate things, for example: how to use the scanner, the computer, the camera, etc. Giving instructions on how to do an activity, for example: cooking recipes, rules for games, science experiments, road safety rules, etc. Or giving advice, for example: how to be a good secretary, how to live healthily, etc.

1. According to Ismanto (2011), a procedure text is a text which has a purpose to tell the readers how to do, operate, or make something. Based on the purpose, a procedural text may explain how things work or how to operate things, for example: how to use the scanner, the computer, the camera, etc. Giving instructions on how to do an activity, for example: cooking recipes, rules for games, science experiments, road safety rules, etc. Or giving advice, for example: how to be a good secretary, how to live healthily, etc.

According to Ayu Rini (2008:85), procedure text is also called Explaination paragraph. it explains how to do something, it tells the process. the purpose of this text is to give the information for the readers how to do someting or a process of something.

C. SPOOF TEXT
According to Ayu Rini (2008: 58) Spoof text is a type of story that has a twist (funny part in the end of the story). Spoof text contains of unpredictable event which make the story funny or ridiculous. Spoof text seems like Recount Text. The difference is in the ending part of the story. Recount text only retells the story in sequence, but Spoof text has something unpredictable at the end.
